Wivenhoe bounced back from a mid week defeat at Clacton to record their biggest victory of the season.
The Dragons went ahead in the fourth minute, a TJ Amass right wing corner was met with a looped header from Ryan Brown that went in at the far post.
Wivenhoe possession lead to several chances, Reece Keating shot wide from outside the area and Markel Greenidge saw his effort clawed out by the Planters keeper. Norwich were getting into the game when a cross from Reece Keating allowed Jonathan Carr to hook the ball in with some aerial acrobatics.
After being denied several times by Dragons keeper Wilding, Norwich finally scored with a close range effort from a corner.
After half time the Dragons looked to increase their lead. Tom Rogers’ header was cleared off the line but shortly afterwards the Dragons restored their two goal advantage as Joe Hawkins netted at the far post from Markel Greenidge's right wing cross.
Norwich had several opportunities to get back into the game but the points were secured with just minutes to go by the returning Luke Rogers. Last season’s top scorer was bought down in the box before stepping up to convert the subsequent penalty.
