The E&L Property Services Stadium had a visit from Barrie a volunteer for Kit Aid. Barrie is visiting 25 Essex grounds to celebrate 25 years of KitAid. You can find out more about Barrie's trip and the charity at the Just Giving page where donations are also gratefully received
KitAid are committed to finding a new home for your unwanted football kit in parts of the world where football is loved, but participation is held back by lack of access to kit and equipment. Wivenhoe Town are supporting this effort with a donation of our kit.
Barrie had the following to say after his visit:
“Big kit contribution this week from Wivenhoe Town FC - massively appreciated. A great donation to KitAid extending the life of the shirts & shorts once enjoyed here in Essex, but now beginning a journey to a new part of the world, where the game is loved, but is held back by a lack of access to kit and equipment”
“It follows over 995,000 items of kit & equipment donated since KitAid’s formation in 1998. And it takes the charity one step closer to the target for 1 million items of kit & equipment for this its 25th Anniversary.”
“Football makes the world a better place. Your donation of kit today ensures that others get to enjoy a special moment too when they get to wear your colours, though many miles away, they will know about Wivenhoe Town FC and the generosity of their Club & supporters”
"Well done and all the very best for the season ahead."
